The missional efforts of First Presbyterian Church extend beyond our immediate community by partnering with our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
- OFCB Ministries in Bayonnais, Haiti – Our partner, Outreach for Christ in Bayonnais (OFCB), serves a remote mountain valley working with a school, a medical clinic and the local church. Our members participate in mission trips once a year as well as invest in educational sponsorships of children attending the school. Contact Lynne Keel for more information about sponsoring a child or attending a mission trip.
- Congo Mission Network – Our Presbyterian Women established a scholarship program to fund two nursing students in the Congo in honor of Todd Hobbie, one of our former pastors. Contact the church office for more information on how to contribute to the scholarship program.
- Rise Against Hunger – Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. Once a year, our congregation gathers for an intergenerational meal packing event to create over 10,000 bags of food that are shipped around the world to the countries with greatest needs. To date, we have packed over 30,000 meals!
