OFCB is a ministry dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by feeding and educating the children and youth of Bayonnais (Haiti) while developing the community around them. Actionnel was born and raised in this rural mountain area of Haiti, educated in Haiti and in the US, and returned to his home to marry and raise his family. In 1993, he started a much-needed school for the children in Bayonnais. Over the years, the school has grown from 105 students to well over 2,000 and is providing an education to children who otherwise may not have the opportunity to attend school at all.
The Lord’s work continues at Bayonnais, giving children and their families hope through education, food for the nourishment of their physical bodies (one meal per school day when available), and the preaching /teaching of God’s Word. Still, there are families who cannot afford to send all of their children to school. World of God, a partner of OFCB, provides a sponsorship program to help each and every child from Bayonnais have the opportunity to attend school. First Presbyterian Church has partnered with OFCB through child sponsorships and has sent mission groups to Bayonnais twice over the past 2 years.
